I am crazy...

I just ordered cloth diapers... I am going to try them out and see if we can make the switch. I know it's "crazy" within my pretty random circle of friends, but I guess maybe I am crazy! Haha! I am super excited and can't wait to get them! A year ago I would have laughed and said no way! But I guess just the thought of this is (in Jesus' name) my last child has really changed the way I want to do things. I just really want to sit back and take the time to enjoy my children and these baby years. I want to get out of the let's take the easy way trap. As you know I make my own baby wipes, and my own baby food, and I really want to use cloth diapers! Granted that last part might change in the coming weeks lol, but that is how I feel right now. I used to be the mom that was always on the go and keeping up with everyone else and always shopping or getting together and always rushing and trying to make everything perfect. I was striving EVERY day to have a clean sparkling home and dinner on the table and look good and have my kids be happy and go on lunch dates all the time and have this perfect and precise and scheduled out life. I guess really until Ethan came along. I went to Bro.Garrett's Mothers Day service this year to surprise my mom and the message he preached was amazing. It really made me think hard about my life and what I want in my life and for my little family. Since then I have been focusing soooo much more on my kids and husband since then, and trying to stay home during the week as much as I can, and I will go to lunch or do things like that with my friends still, but not like I used to. This makes me and my husband and children sooo much happier and more relaxed. I am here to be a mom and a wife, that is my first priority outside of living for God. My home, I keep it up to the best of my ability during my spare moments. I usually focus on my kitchen the most, I HATE a messy kitchen! Lol! But my home is far from perfect! If you walked in right now you would see toys everywhere and a little pile of shoes and clothes that I threw outside my bedroom door because I didn't want to wake Ethan, and Blake's shoes and pants and just junk lol.. I try to walk through every night and just pick up things and get them in the general vicinity of where they belong, and then the next day I clear up all my piles really quick, just to make them again that night haha. And I rarely even start dinner before Kyle gets home, I used to try sooo hard to have it ready to eat when he got here, and of course Blake needs attention or wants to play and Ethan wants to nurse and the chicken is burning and the boiling noodles no longer have any water haha! So now, I just play with my boys until daddy comes home and THEN I start dinner. I realized that my husband would much rather come home to a mess and a happy wife and kids than a pristine home and a frazzled wife and whiney kids. And my boys don't care whether the floor went 3 days without vacuuming and their room hasn't been picked up in a week. But they do care when mommy is always telling them hold on honey, just a minute, let mommy finish this first... you get the point. AND so, I have set out on this endeavor to give my husband and kids the very best I can, and not always try to make my life convenient and easy for me, because I am here to be a mommy and a wife, to nurture my family. So I will put the time and effort into washing diapers for my sons and pureeing veggies for my Tank and making endless PB&J's for my Blakers and cutting those super strong paper towel rolls to make wipes that don't hurt their bums and making yummy homemade dinners for my Hubs and letting Blake make Lord-knows-what fingerpaint art that takes and bath and lots of cleaning wipes to clean up. It's so worth it to forget about everything else and focus on these 3 people who mean more to me than anyone else in the whole world. I want to give them the best that I possibly can. And that is my SUPER DUPER long reason to my actually WANTING to do cloth diapers! If any of you have tried them I would LOVE to hear your input on why you did or didn't like them.

AND here are a few pictures from the past week...

My 3 most favorite boys in the WHOLE world!
Daddy and Blake built a "garage" for Rowdy the trash truck.

And Blake decided it could be a garage for himself too!

See I told you that you were a fantastic MOM! You rock! 8)
I am glad to know my house isn't the only imperfect house... especially this 2 weeks of nowhere business... i let them play play play and we clean right before bed! 8)
Good luck with the cloth diapers!

Lol thanks! I love my little monsters! Oh my... You should have seen my place this morning! Horrible! Ya that's pretty much what happens here too, so it looks nice while we sleep lol! Hey it's a good thing you didn't go out! Not sure where it came from but all 4 of us started feeling sick yesterday... and with all of this weird weather it's sooo much easier to get sick! But tomorrow is your last day! Yay! I will be praying you all!

I don't think you're crazy =). I thought about it and tried it for a few days with Ryan (giggle), but I don't think I had great diapers...I didn't really like the poo but the diapers I got, the velcro scratched his legs really bad. I might try again with our next child with better diapers. Let us know how it goes for you! And I love the fact that none of us mothers are perfect...but hopefully, our kids will be thankful for it =). Love you. We had a great time Saturday!!!
